Jacobs and WSP helped transform Auckland’s North Shore with the Northern Corridor Improvements project, enhancing connectivity, expanding public transport, and delivering community-focused design to support the city’s future growth.
Jacobs served as lead designer, for the design-builder, on the Port of Miami Tunnel, a landmark infrastructure project that reimagined access to one of the nation’s busiest seaports. By diverting cargo trucks and cruise buses away from downtown streets and onto a dedicated tunnel connection, the project dramatically improved traffic flow, safety and urban livability. As Florida’s first transportation project funded through a public-private partnership (P3), the tunnel set a new precedent for innovation in financing, design and delivery.
The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is known for its celebrity sightings and VIP experiences. Through their partnership Jacobs and LAWA work together to make every passenger feel like a superstar.
Jacobs is delivering one of the Los Angeles metropolitan region’s most complex and transformative infrastructure projects — the LA Metro D Line Subway Extension Project – Section 1. The expansion will connect downtown Los Angeles to the Westside for the first time in history, reducing congestion and linking riders to the city’s cultural, economic and medical hubs.
As part of the Environment Agency's Incident Response Contract in the Southeast (Hub C), Jacobs, in collaboration with BAM, led emergency works to stabilize Black Potts Weir. The effort protected the weir’s structural integrity, ensured continued operation of the Jubilee flood relief channel and safeguarded critical rail infrastructure.
To serve more than 730,000 residents, the City of Tampa and Jacobs delivered a major upgrade to the city’s only drinking water facility while maintaining continuous service. Using a progressive design-build approach, the team modernized aging infrastructure; increased capacity, flexibility, reliability and resiliency; improved water quality and introduced first-of-its-kind innovations like a zero-discharge stormwater system.
The Anacostia Waterfront Initiative is a $10 billion, 30-year effort to transform Washington, D.C.’s riverfront, led by the District Department of Transportation with Jacobs as Program Management/General Engineering Consultant. The program focuses on improving transportation connections between neighborhoods and the waterfront, advancing environmentally resilient infrastructure to restore ecosystems and manage flooding, and driving economic growth through collaboration among agencies, federal partners and developers.
Jacobs is serving as program manager for a visionary water reuse project in southern California that will create a resilient drinking water supply and protect the local ecosystem.
