Introducing A Digital Magazine With A Difference
It’s my great pleasure to welcome you to our inaugural edition of Reimagined Perspectives, a digital magazine designed to stimulate discussion, where our thought leaders ask thought-provoking questions and provide insights on the questions keeping you up at night. They’re also thinking ahead, trying to grapple with whatever our next challenges might be.
Redefining What’s Possible
If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that it’s time to think differently about the future — about how we prepare for
(and respond to) natural, societal and economic risks. There’s no better time than now to discuss the many facets of resiliency and how we can continue to futureproof our communities by building resilient outcomes into all that we do.
Becoming resilient means minimizing the impacts of climate change, rising sea levels, extreme weather and natural disasters; rising to the challenges of urbanization and aging infrastructure; rethinking our supply chain and regulations; addressing all aspects of health and responding to cybersecurity threats so public entities and private citizens are safe and secure. It also means increasing the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses and systems to adapt and grow — no matter what difficulties arise.
A View To The Future
We chose resilience as our first theme because it’s universal — adapting to and preparing for change. Future issues will explore timely themes, including climate action, health, digital solutions, emerging contaminants and defense.
As always, we will do things right, challenge the accepted, aim higher and live inclusion, in keeping with our values.
