Most businesses have location-based data — data that includes a geographic reference, like longitude and latitude coordinates, address details, administrative boundaries, movement paths, asset data and route and grid maps. For organizations looking for a competitive edge, this data is a strategic asset that can be used to enhance performance and drive value across operations. When combined with tools such as digital twins, mapping and visualization platforms, predictive analytics and machine learning, geospatial data can enable teams to identify patterns and trends and generate insights that inform decision-making, drive cost savings, improve efficiency and productivity, and enhance customer experiences.

Alistair Fox works with clients to unpack their business challenges, identify where location data can add value and align their objectives to spatial capabilities and appropriate digital technologies. By challenging assumptions and empowering clients to expand their thinking, he works with them to understand how location technology solves their challenges.

Alistair started his career creating CAD drawings in MicroStation for geologists, later expanding into GIS tools and broader digital technologies. As his career progressed, he moved from hands-on coding and automation into working with clients to understand their problems and develop solutions to solve them. His experience ranges from implementing small-scale digital enhancements that deliver incremental progress to leading long-term digital transformation programs.
