Protecting the Thames Estuary: Modeling to provide a reliable evidence base to safeguard millions of residents and billions in assets

The Thames Estuary is home to 1.51 million people and more than £400 ($546) billion-worth of assets that are at risk from tidal flooding. To address this challenge, Jacobs and JBA Consulting are leading the Thames Estuary 2100 Modelling Project for the Environment Agency — a key pillar of the Thames Estuary 2100 strategy. The project strengthens understanding of flood risk and provides the robust evidence base needed to guide smarter decisions that protect homes, safeguard critical infrastructure and support sustainable growth. During NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote presentation at the company’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) on Monday, March 16, 2026, the founder and CEO highlighted Jacobs. The NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint and libraries now features a Jacobs Data Center Digital Twin solution that enables developers and owners to plan, simulate and optimize gigawatt-scale artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, known as AI factories, in a virtual environment – improving time to first revenue, efficient energy performance and resilient long-term operations.

Jacobs receives $450 million U.S. Environmental Protection Agency contract

Jacobs (NYSE:J) was awarded a $450-million Superfund and Great Lakes Architecture-Engineering Services indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multi-award contract by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Great Lakes National Program Office and the Region 5 Superfund and Emergency Management Division to provide environmental, technical and management services and associated infrastructure tasks in the Great Lakes Area.

Jacobs to design critical highway infrastructure for Brent Spence Bridge Corridor

Jacobs (NYSE: J) was selected as part of the Walsh Kokosing Joint Venture Design-Build Team to deliver critical infrastructure as part of the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project (BSBC). The BSBC will deliver approximately eight miles of improved Interstates 71 and 75 through Kentucky and Ohio, including the addition of a new companion bridge reducing congestion, improving traffic flow and maintaining critical regional and national transportation corridors.

Boldly moving forward: Partnership leverages intelligent O&M and Aqua DNA for net zero US wastewater system

In 2020, the City of Wilmington selected Jacobs to operate and manage its wastewater treatment plant, combined sewer overflow facilities and its Renewable Energy Biosolids Facility (REBF). Located 30 minutes south of Philadelphia, Wilmington is Delaware's largest city and the state's economic engine, with a wastewater operation serving more than 400,000 residents. The agreement with the City of Wilmington, Delaware, spans decades, and Jacobs is committed to implementing innovative solutions that deliver value to our client, reshape what’s possible and create a more connected, sustainable world.
