Jacobs served as a trusted planning and design consultant for Alameda County Transportation Commission and the Port of Oakland to plan and design a complex ecosystem to streamline operations to reduce long wait queues for trucks entering marine terminals, reduce truck emissions, increase multimodal access to commercial developments and empower future sustainable growth. In October 2018, Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) was hit with a Category 5 hurricane which resulted in damage to 100% of its assets. As a result, they have embarked on a rebuilding program that is focused on creating a resilient, sustainable and smart Installation of the Future that leverages innovative solutions in a “system of systems” approach to perform at the nexus of mission assurance, cost efficiency, and social and environmental sustainability.
We’re working with the San Diego Association of Governments, California Department of Transportation and the City of San Diego to develop alternatives and a feasibility study for adding managed lanes on a critical transportation link in the region. Jacobs served on the team leading redevelopment of 87 acres of the container yard at Barbours Cut Container Terminal in Texas, which was in need of an upgrade to maintain operational efficiency.
Through innovative EPCM and integrated project delivery models, Jacobs delivered increased production capacity to Zoetis’ manufacturing and development facility in Tullamore, Ireland for its veterinary monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) medicines.
