Germany's energy transition and increasing electrification are driving significant investment in transmission infrastructure, making grid expansion and modernization essential to integrate renewable energy and maintain interconnected power systems. Under a seven-year multidisciplinary framework with TransnetBW, one of Germany's four transmission system operators, Jacobs will enable safe, efficient delivery across multiple grid expansion programs.

Jacobs will provide integrated commercial and technical services across the full project lifecycle, from early planning and environmental assessments through engineering, procurement and construction. Supporting multiple concurrent grid expansion programs, Jacobs will manage project risk and navigate regulatory and environmental requirements. The project builds on Jacobs' experience delivering major transmission programs in Germany, including SuedLink, one of the world's largest underground high-voltage power cable projects, and reinforces our growing presence in the country. Bringing together program delivery and deep technical expertise, Jacobs is modernizing Germany's transmission network to support renewable energy integration and strengthen long-term grid resilience.
