A global telecom provider needed a new North American headquarters to bring corporate operations and mission‑critical digital infrastructure together in a single, purpose‑built facility. The project required a highly technical data center capable of supporting 20 megawatts of capacity alongside office space designed for collaboration and growth. Delivered as a new‑construction, free‑standing, multi‑story building on a 7.5‑acre site, the facility also required careful coordination with local authorities for planning entitlement and permitting. Balancing security, performance and flexibility while integrating complex systems into a cohesive workplace environment was essential. The resulting facility supports both the operational demands of the network and the day‑to‑day needs of the organization.
Jacobs provided architecture and engineering, project management and commissioning services for the facility, supporting delivery from early design through completion. Our engineering and design teams delivered the building shell and interior design while meeting the client’s requirements for highly technical, mission‑critical spaces. We also led and participated in city interface activities, including planning entitlement and permitting, streamlining approvals and maintain project momentum. Integrating technical infrastructure with office environments and aligning stakeholders across disciplines enabled us to deliver a facility that is both operationally robust and workplace‑ready. The client now has a flexible headquarters and data center that supports secure and reliable operations — and is positioned for future growth.
