Jacobs’ Senior Director for OT Cybersecurity Solutions Steve Hiser works with clients to bring clarity to that uncertainty. His consultative approach starts with listening — understanding how facilities operate, what risks are acceptable and where production, safety and cybersecurity priorities intersect. From there, he helps clients build practical, phased strategies that strengthen security without putting operations at risk.

As senior director, OT cybersecurity solutions at Jacobs, Steve helps clients reduce cyber risk while maintaining safety, reliability and operational continuity. He brings more than 20 years of experience supporting complex, high-risk environments, including leading global industrial cybersecurity portfolio strategy at a previous company, where he helped commercialize OT-focused cyber solutions and scale their adoption across critical infrastructure clients worldwide. A background in strategic consulting further shapes his pragmatic, client-first approach — combining technical insight, business acumen and cross-functional collaboration. At Jacobs, he works with clients to improve visibility across OT environments, align security investments to operational priorities and navigate regulatory and modernization challenges with confidence. 

Outside of Jacobs, Steve is a passionate Star Wars card collector, an avid fisherman and conservationist, and a competitive U.S. Masters swimmer who also serves on his local swim club’s board. He’s a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, shares alma maters with actor Bradley Cooper and once met Taylor Swift long before the world knew her name.
