When a leading financial organization set out to consolidate its aging, regionally dispersed portfolio of data centers, it needed a clear, repeatable approach that could be deployed across multiple U.S. locations. The challenge was balancing speed and consistency with local compliance while modernizing critical infrastructure that supports secure, alwayson operations. Site conditions, jurisdictional requirements and regional constraints varied significantly, increasing complexity and risk. Without a standardized solution, redesign efforts could slow delivery and compromise efficiency. The program required a scalable planofrecord design supported by informed site selection and rigorous validation, creating a foundation for consistent performance, resilience and futureready operations across a national footprint.

Jacobs performed site selection and site analysis for multiple planned data center locations across several U.S. regions, supporting the client to identify sites aligned with operational, technical and regulatory requirements. Once locations were selected, we completed site adaptation and validated compliance with local jurisdiction requirements, supporting successful deployment of the planofrecord design at multiple sites. Sustainability was integrated from the outset, with features including LEED compliance, provisions for future onsite photovoltaic power generation and highly efficient mechanical cooling systems. This approach enabled consistent delivery, reduced redesign effort and supported a resilient, energyefficient data center portfolio designed to meet the client’s longterm operational needs.
