Our culture is what makes working at Jacobs special.
There are three integral places where our shared attitudes and behaviors show up – the company's values and practices, your team and network, and your experience day to day.
How long have you been at Jacobs?
I first joined the organization back in 2013 as a graduate environmental assessment specialist. My journey with Jacobs has been a huge part of my professional life and development, taking me from the Northeast of England to London and ultimately home to Dublin, Ireland.
Why do you wear the "J?"
I wear the "J" because the work we do matters to people and places around the world. Whether it's protecting rail lines along the coastline, making communities more resilient to flooding or supporting the shift to cleaner, green public transport — these are meaningful, long-lasting projects.
I'm proud of the teams I'm part of, the clients we support and the trust placed in us to deliver critical national infrastructure. Jacobs has always been a place where purpose and progress go together, and that's why wearing the "J" means something to me.
“Caring is about how we work together — with integrity, empathy and pride in the difference we can make.”
What does our culture mean to you?
For me, Jacobs' culture is built on sound relationships, fairness and people looking out for one another. There's a real sense of shared ambition here to deliver projects with our values at the forefront. It's a culture where everyone has a voice and where you're encouraged to lead, innovate and support each other to deliver.
How do you practice our Culture of Caring every day?
For me, caring shows up in the small things as much as the big ones. It's about taking time for people, listening properly and creating room for others to grow. At its heart, caring is about how we work together — with integrity, empathy and pride in the difference we can make.
