PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif., to continue providing program and construction management services for the New Stanford Hospital and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Expansion Projects. Officials did not disclose the contract value. In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Tom McDuffie stated, "We are excited that Stanford University Medical Center has involved us in this critical healthcare program, and committed to providing the resources necessary for its successful completion." Since 1959, Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC) has been providing excellent healthcare for Palo Alto and surrounding communities. The hospital is known worldwide for providing advanced patient care. The hospital's main facilities are outdated and cannot be brought up to new seismic standards. The new hospital building program proposes a net increase of approximately 824,000 sq. ft. The new facilities will add 144 beds for a total of 600 patient beds and will feature a new Emergency Department. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, which opened in 1991, is a world-class facility devoted entirely to the care of babies, children, adolescents and expectant mothers. The children's hospital expansion project proposes a net increase of approximately 441,500 sq. ft. on the current site. The new facilities will add 104 beds for a total of 361 patient beds on site, new diagnostic and treatment rooms, nursing and support services, clinics, and administrative offices. Jacobs receives contract for NDOT i-15 south design-build project
PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has received a contract to lead design efforts on the Interstate-15 (I-15) South Design-Build Project for the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). This project includes roadway and bridge design for improvements to six miles of I-15, from Tropicana Avenue to Silverado Ranch Boulevard in Clark County, Nev., to relieve current congestion and prepare for future growth. Jacobs serves as subcontractor to Las Vegas Paving Corporation, the local contractor for the project. Total construction value for project is estimated to be $246.5 million. Jacobs receives contract for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission San Joaquin region projects
PASADENA, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide construction management (CM) services for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's (SFPUC) San Joaquin Region Projects. Jacobs will operate as a major subcontractor to PMA Consultants, LLC (PMA). Construction costs for these projects are estimated to be approximately $350 million. PMA's professional CM services contract with the SFPUC is for $28 million and Jacobs' subcontract value is approximately $11 million. The projects are generally located in the California Central Valley on the east side of the Altamont Pass. Projects include construction of 11 miles of new 92-inch diameter pipelines; rehabilitation of existing pipelines; new crossover valve structures; a throttling station to improve emergency pipeline shutdown capability and operational flexibility; Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system upgrades; a new 315-million-gallon-per-day ultraviolet and chemical feed facility; as well as coordination with other concurrent water quality improvement projects. Jacobs receives contract for the North County Corridor in Stanislaus county, Calif.
PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to provide preliminary engineering and environmental services for approximately 24 miles of roadway in Stanislaus County, which is one of the fastest growing communities in California. The Joint Powers Authority consists of the County of Stanislaus; the cities of Modesto, Riverbank, and Oakdale; the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG); and the California Department of Transportation. Officials did not disclose the contract value. The work is part of a project that would cost approximately $1 billion to construct and is expected to take about 20 years to complete. The project's primary intent is to provide a high capacity east-west roadway to accommodate anticipated traffic growth in the area, alleviate traffic on parallel roadways, and accommodate multi-modal travel. Jacobs will provide preliminary engineering and environmental services for this four- to eight-lane facility that spans the cities of Modesto, Riverbank, and Oakdale; and the County of Stanislaus. The project is anticipated to have about ten interchanges, five at-grade intersections, and four railroad crossings. The first of this size in the county, the project will serve the regional and inter-regional needs of the Stanislaus County. PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to provide construction management (CM) services for the Bay Division Regional Project in California. The total installed cost of the construction project is valued at approximately $220 million with a CM contract value of $25 million. The SFPUC supplies drinking water to 2.4 million customers in the four Bay Area counties of Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco. The project will construct approximately 16 miles of 60-inch and 72-inch pipeline, three separate crossover structures along existing Bay Division Pipelines 3 and 4, and upgrades to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Jacobs receives contract from city of Dallas Water Utilities Department
PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the City of Dallas Water Utilities Department (DWU) to provide construction management services for their Water Facilities Project Management Program. Jacobs' officials did not provide the contract value, yet estimate construction at $225 million. This program entails improvements to the Bachman and East Side Water Treatment Plants. Originally constructed in 1929, Bachman is DWU's oldest operating treatment plant and East Side is DWU's largest treatment plant with a 440 million-gallon-per-day current rated capacity. Jacobs' services will include construction planning, coordination, and management of projects for a five-year period scheduled which began October 1, 2008, with an option to extend the time of performance for an additional three years. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Polk County Utilities to provide professional services relating to water infrastructure projects through a Master Consulting Agreement. Jacobs receives contract to design New Jersey transit portal bridge
PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it, in a tri-venture with Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems and HNTB Corporation, received a contract from NJ TRANSIT to provide design services for the Portal Bridge Capacity Enhancement Project. Jacobs' officials estimate the overall construction value of the project at $1.3 billion, with construction scheduled for completion and revenue service to begin in 2017. The project involves replacing a vital 98-year-old two track railroad swing bridge that crosses the Hackensack River carrying Amtrak's Northeast Corridor train service as well as NJ TRANSIT's Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, and Midtown Direct commuter service to Penn Station in New York City. The existing two-track bridge will be replaced with two bridges on either side of it carrying a total of five tracks. The northernmost bridge will be a fixed bridge with a 50-foot mean high water clearance for marine traffic and will carry three tracks. The second structure, south of the existing bridge, will contain a movable 400-foot long center span with a 40-foot mean high water clearance and will carry two tracks. It will be possible to raise the center span ten feet via a vertical hydraulic lift that will be utilized about ten times a year to accommodate the largest marine vessels navigating the river. Jacobs' joint venture team selected for sound transit university link project
PASADENA, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that the Seattle Tunnel and Rail Team (START), a joint venture between Jacobs and CH2M Hill, has been selected to receive a construction management services contract from Sound Transit to extend light rail service to connect the region's three most densely populated urban centers in Washington State -- downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill/First Hill, and the University District. Officials did not provide the contract value; however, the total installed cost of the project is valued at $1.6 billion.
