Jacobs Receives Contract from Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District

PASADENA, Calif., March 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received an award from the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) to provide professional engineering services for the Lower & Middle River des Peres CSO Controls System Improvements in St. Louis, Mo.

The estimated total construction value is $1 billion. The project is expected to be complete in approximately 2030.

The project is part of the MSD's CSO Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP) and proposed federal consent decree.  It includes design of four primary features: tunnels, high rate treatment systems, pump stations and near surface facilities. This is the most complex and the largest of the projects included in the LTCP and proposed consent decree program. Jacobs is also managing several sub-consultants that are assisting with design.
