Jacobs awarded contract from Washington State DOT

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2012-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to provide on-call engineering and operations services in support of the agency's capital rail improvement program and other rail projects. The contract duration is three years and has a maximum value of $7 million, with an option to extend the duration and increase the value of the contract. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is selected to provide a variety of services in the areas of rail engineering, planning, operations support, equipment evaluation and procurement, program and project management, construction management and inspection, alternative project delivery, value engineering, cost estimating, cost/benefit analysis, risk analysis/management, and other professional services as required by the WSDOT’s Rail Office. Jacobs on joint venture team delivering final design for Sound Transit

PASADENA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Oct. 9, 2012 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it is a member of the joint venture team that was awarded a final design contract by Sound Transit of Seattle, Wash. for its East Link light rail extension. H-J-H Final Design Partners (H-J-H) is a joint venture of HNTB, Jacobs and Hatch Mott MacDonald. The Sound Transit contract awarded to H-J-H is valued at $88 million. Under the terms of the contract, H-J-H is delivering approximately seven miles of double-track light rail transit, eight stations, a cut-and-cover tunnel in downtown Bellevue, and long-span bridge crossings over interstates 405 and 90 for the South Bellevue to Overlake Transit Center portion of the East Link extension. Jacobs announces contract with the Port of Houston Authority for the rehabilitation of wharves 1 and 2 at the barbours cut terminal

PASADENA, Calif., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Port of Houston Authority to perform professional engineering services for the rehabilitation of Wharves 1 and 2 at the Barbours Cut Terminal in Morgans Point, Texas. The primary purpose of the project is to allow the wharves to accommodate larger ship-to-shore cranes. Officials estimate the construction value to be in excess of $50 million, with a design contract value of $4.9 million. Construction of this project is expected to be complete by fall 2014. Jacobs' scope includes developing construction documents for the upgrade of approximately 2670 feet of the wharves. In addition to structural improvements to the wharves, other elements include new fenders, crane infrastructure and appurtenances, paving, two stevedore support buildings, lighting, and related work. Jacobs awarded contract for Ma'aden's Umm Wu'al phosphate project in Saudi Arabia

PASADENA, Calif., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today it was awarded a contract by Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) to provide a bankable feasibility study/front end engineering design (FEED) for its Umm Wu'al Phosphate Project in the Sirhan-Turaif region, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Officials did not disclose the contract value. Ma'aden is proceeding with the development of its Umm Wu'al Phosphate Project, a major phosphate resource in the north of Saudi Arabia, to supply merchant grade phosphoric acid to the fertilizer, food and animal feed industries. The greenfield project is located 35 kilometers northeast of Turaif and approximately 100 kilometers to the west of the Ma'aden Phosphate Company beneficiation complex. The project envisages an open pit mine and beneficiation process, adding approximately 1.5 million metric tons to Ma'aden's planned annual phosphate capacity, which is expected to be marketed locally and internationally. In addition to the new phosphoric acid (MGA) production, the project will supply phosphate intermediate products, including purified phosphoric acid, sodium tri-poly-phosphate, mono-calcium phosphate and di-calcium phosphate, to augment Ma'aden's phosphate product mix. The overall project requires a power distribution plant and associated infrastructure. Jacobs receives contract from Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District

PASADENA, Calif., March 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received an award from the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) to provide professional engineering services for the Lower & Middle River des Peres CSO Controls System Improvements in St. Louis, Mo. The estimated total construction value is $1 billion. The project is expected to be complete in approximately 2030. The project is part of the MSD's CSO Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP) and proposed federal consent decree. Jacobs completes acquisition of majority of Aker Solutions' process & construction business

Jacobs receives contract from Los Angeles County Department of Public Works for revitalization of MLK medical center

(NYSE: JEC) announced today that MLK Partners, a joint venture managed by Jacobs along with Jenkins/Gales & Martinez (JGM) and Jensen+Partners, received an award from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to provide construction management services for the revitalization of the Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The award is for two separate projects: the Inpatient Tower renovation and the construction of a new Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center Building. The overall program is budgeted at $355 million. The scope of work for the Inpatient Tower renovation includes the demolition and remodeling of interior spaces in several existing hospital buildings, and the seismic and equipment upgrade of the campus' Central Plant. Jacobs receives contract from Riverside County Transportation Commission for SR-74/I-215 interchange project

PASADENA, Calif., Dec 08, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Riverside County Transportation Commission to provide construction management services for its State Route 74 (SR-74) and Interstate 215 (I-215) interchange improvement project in Perris, Calif. Construction is expected to begin in early 2010 with project completion planned for late 2012. Estimated to cost $30 million, the project construction is funded with federal stimulus funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and zonal Transportation Uniform Mitigation Fees. The project will include safety and operational improvements to the existing SR-74/I-215 interchange by constructing a new, eight-lane overcrossing structure; realigning, reconstructing, and widening the ramps to I-215; reconfiguring nearby intersections; widening streets; providing ramp meters and high occupancy vehicle (HOV) preferential lanes on the entrance ramps; and constructing sound walls.
