Jacobs, working alongside Perkins Eastman, P&T Architects and Lexica, is supporting the development of new Facility Design Guidelines (FDG) for Hong Kong’s Hospital Authority (HA). The guidelines will help shape the future design and planning of public hospitals, clinics and healthcare-related facilities across the region. The FDG will serve as a comprehensive and standardized framework for public healthcare infrastructure—ensuring consistency, flexibility and innovation across future developments. It will provide best practice guidance on design principles for clinical and support spaces, with a strong focus on patient safety, operational efficiency, environmental sustainability and the integration of new technologies. At the core of this initiative is a commitment to embedding HA’s vision, mission and values into every aspect of healthcare design. The guidelines will prioritize safety, privacy, dignity and well-being for patients, staff and visitors. They will also support seamless workflows, efficient use of space and improved service delivery. Jacobs designing southern Arizona’s largest highway construction project
Jacobs is designing southern Arizona’s largest highway construction project in a design-build partnership with Sundt Construction. The Arizona Department of Transportation’s Kino to Country Club project aims to improve traffic flow and safety on Interstate 10 (I-10), creating a critical link between major highways and local roads. This $600 million investment will expand a three-mile stretch of I-10 in both directions and reconstruct and remove existing interchanges to ease congestion. Jacobs launches innovation studio for water and environmental treatment solutions

To address growing environmental challenges, Jacobs has launched an innovation studio focused on advanced treatability testing for contaminated land and water. Located in Corvallis, Oregon, the studio provides a collaborative space to scale up site-specific testing and evaluate customized solutions. The work includes in-depth contaminant analysis—looking at physical and chemical properties—to determine the most efficient treatment options. The innovation studio also supports the development of new technologies, such as advanced soil vapor sampling tools, to enhance remediation efforts. Furthermore, Jacobs is addressing contaminants like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and piloting treatment methods for emerging threats in water supplies. Jacobs has been appointed by Landgate, Western Australia’s (WA) Land Information Authority, to deliver a spatial digital twin as part of the Spatial WA Program. Under an initial seven-year delivery contract, Jacobs, partnering with Amristar and Terria, will develop the digital twin. As part of delivery, the digital twin will be used to demonstrate effectiveness across four key use cases covering infrastructure delivery, planning, land management and emergency preparedness. Jacobs selected to design UK’s Uxbridge Moor substation
DALLAS, Oct. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ – Jacobs (NYSE: J) has been selected by Murphy as the civil design partner on the construction of Uxbridge Moor, a new substation in west London. The multimillion-pound contract from National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) will see the construction of a new substation at Uxbridge Moor, which borders NGET’s existing Iver substation in Buckinghamshire. The facility will connect new customers to the electricity network and help to meet the significant increase in demand for electricity to the west of London.
