Jacobs receives contract for the North County Corridor in Stanislaus county, Calif.

PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to provide preliminary engineering and environmental services for approximately 24 miles of roadway in Stanislaus County, which is one of the fastest growing communities in California. The Joint Powers Authority consists of the County of Stanislaus; the cities of Modesto, Riverbank, and Oakdale; the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG); and the California Department of Transportation. Officials did not disclose the contract value. The work is part of a project that would cost approximately $1 billion to construct and is expected to take about 20 years to complete. The project's primary intent is to provide a high capacity east-west roadway to accommodate anticipated traffic growth in the area, alleviate traffic on parallel roadways, and accommodate multi-modal travel. Jacobs will provide preliminary engineering and environmental services for this four- to eight-lane facility that spans the cities of Modesto, Riverbank, and Oakdale; and the County of Stanislaus. The project is anticipated to have about ten interchanges, five at-grade intersections, and four railroad crossings. The first of this size in the county, the project will serve the regional and inter-regional needs of the Stanislaus County. Jacobs receives contract for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission San Joaquin region projects

PASADENA, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide construction management (CM) services for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's (SFPUC) San Joaquin Region Projects. Jacobs will operate as a major subcontractor to PMA Consultants, LLC (PMA). Construction costs for these projects are estimated to be approximately $350 million. PMA's professional CM services contract with the SFPUC is for $28 million and Jacobs' subcontract value is approximately $11 million. The projects are generally located in the California Central Valley on the east side of the Altamont Pass. Projects include construction of 11 miles of new 92-inch diameter pipelines; rehabilitation of existing pipelines; new crossover valve structures; a throttling station to improve emergency pipeline shutdown capability and operational flexibility; Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system upgrades; a new 315-million-gallon-per-day ultraviolet and chemical feed facility; as well as coordination with other concurrent water quality improvement projects. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif., to continue providing program and construction management services for the New Stanford Hospital and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Expansion Projects. Jacobs receives contract from Riverside County Transportation Commission for SR-74/I-215 interchange project

PASADENA, Calif., Dec 08, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Riverside County Transportation Commission to provide construction management services for its State Route 74 (SR-74) and Interstate 215 (I-215) interchange improvement project in Perris, Calif. Construction is expected to begin in early 2010 with project completion planned for late 2012. Estimated to cost $30 million, the project construction is funded with federal stimulus funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and zonal Transportation Uniform Mitigation Fees. The project will include safety and operational improvements to the existing SR-74/I-215 interchange by constructing a new, eight-lane overcrossing structure; realigning, reconstructing, and widening the ramps to I-215; reconfiguring nearby intersections; widening streets; providing ramp meters and high occupancy vehicle (HOV) preferential lanes on the entrance ramps; and constructing sound walls. Jacobs receives contract from Los Angeles County Department of Public Works for revitalization of MLK medical center

(NYSE: JEC) announced today that MLK Partners, a joint venture managed by Jacobs along with Jenkins/Gales & Martinez (JGM) and Jensen+Partners, received an award from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to provide construction management services for the revitalization of the Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The award is for two separate projects: the Inpatient Tower renovation and the construction of a new Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center Building. The overall program is budgeted at $355 million. The scope of work for the Inpatient Tower renovation includes the demolition and remodeling of interior spaces in several existing hospital buildings, and the seismic and equipment upgrade of the campus' Central Plant. The project will also include the construction of a new 20,000 square foot Ancillary Building, housing a cafeteria and administrative support functions. This portion of the project is expected to be substantially completed in early 2013. Jacobs completes acquisition of majority of Aker Solutions' process & construction business
