Protecting the Thames Estuary: Modeling to provide a reliable evidence base to safeguard millions of residents and billions in assets

The Thames Estuary is home to 1.51 million people and more than £400 ($546) billion-worth of assets that are at risk from tidal flooding. To address this challenge, Jacobs and JBA Consulting are leading the Thames Estuary 2100 Modelling Project for the Environment Agency — a key pillar of the Thames Estuary 2100 strategy. The project strengthens understanding of flood risk and provides the robust evidence base needed to guide smarter decisions that protect homes, safeguard critical infrastructure and support sustainable growth. By delivering trusted and unified insights for climate resilience, it’s helping to build a safer future for one of the principal development areas in southern England.

Jacobs’ data center digital twin featured in NVIDIA GTC keynote

During NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote presentation at the company’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) on Monday, March 16, 2026, the founder and CEO highlighted Jacobs. The NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint and libraries now features a Jacobs Data Center Digital Twin solution that enables developers and owners to plan, simulate and optimize gigawatt-scale artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, known as AI factories, in a virtual environment – improving time to first revenue, efficient energy performance and resilient long-term operations.

Jacobs Mace supports the Expo 2020 Dubai opening

DALLAS, Nov. 30, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jacobs Mace joint venture (JV) celebrates Expo 2020 Dubai as visitors discover 192 country pavilions and a host of signature thematic pavilions, thrilling entertainment and state-of-the-art innovative technologies. As the Official Program Delivery Management Provider for Expo 2020 Dubai, Jacobs Mace worked alongside the Expo team in managing the overall program delivery and masterplan of the infrastructure and public realm spaces for the event through to the site's transition to a people-centric smart city, District 2020. The JV assisted Expo in managing more than 40 individual projects that run 24/7, including design management, urban planning, procurement services, construction/project management and logistics, across the three Thematic Districts, public realm and the Al Wasl Plaza centerpiece. "We've helped drive the transformation of the site into a lasting urban legacy, that unites the world to innovate and create meaningful impact for future generations," said Jacobs Vice President Amer Battikhi. "The Jacobs Mace JV worked alongside Expo all the way, from our work managing the masterplan and delivering the arrivals plazas and public realm spaces to our monitoring role in the construction of the thematic pavilions. Jacobs has been awarded the architecture and engineering phase one design contract by Axiom Space for the Assembly, Integration and Testing facility planned for the 400-acre Houston Spaceport in the heart of Space City at Ellington Airport.
