Jacobs was founded in Pasadena, California, in 1947 with a clear focus on delivering solutions that support how communities function and grow. Nearly eight decades later, that focus continues to shape our work across the United States, where we deliver infrastructure and advanced manufacturing facilities that underpin economic activity, public health and mobility.

Our work spans major programs across the country. In Los Angeles, we are delivering the Donald C. Tillman Advanced Water Purification Facility, one of the largest potable reuse initiatives in the United States, strengthening long-term water supply resilience. In New York, we played a central role in the transformation of Grand Central Madison, the first expansion of the Long Island Rail Road in more than a century, increasing capacity and reducing travel times on one of the nation’s busiest commuter networks.

Beyond individual projects, we support the systems people rely on every day, including water and wastewater treatment, transportation networks, environmental planning and remediation and urban development. We also work across advanced manufacturing, life sciences, data centers and energy systems, expanding capacity, modernizing infrastructure and responding to changing demand.

By connecting advisory services with delivery, we support clients from early planning through execution and long-term operations, improving decision-making, managing risk and delivering more predictable outcomes.

From our origins in California to our broad footprint today, Jacobs continues to support infrastructure and industry across the United States, applying our specialized knowledge and program delivery to meet evolving demands across the economy.
