Transforming care delivery through integrated, forward‑looking healthcare design

To treat complex surgical cases needing state-of-the-art care, AdventHealth chose Jacobs to complete construction and project management for a $256 million surgical center in Tampa, Florida. The largest surgical expansion in Tampa Bay history, the new Taneja Center for Surgery opened in October 2021 and is the last phase of a five-year program that included a horizontal expansion to the existing parking deck and a doubling in size of the existing central energy plant.

Unlocking low-carbon hydrogen and graphene from wastewater biogas at scale

Jacobs, United Utilities and Levidian piloted the first use of Levidian’s LOOP technology in the U.K. water sector, converting biogas into clean hydrogen and graphene. Funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero under the Hydrogen Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) Innovation Program, the project evaluated LOOP’s commercial viability, carbon reduction potential and social value in this wastewater treatment application. The work supports a more sustainable, circular and carbon-negative future for the water sector.

Strengthening Miami’s role as a global trade gateway by improving port efficiency and freight mobility

Jacobs served as lead designer, for the design-builder, on the Port of Miami Tunnel, a landmark infrastructure project that reimagined access to one of the nation’s busiest seaports. By diverting cargo trucks and cruise buses away from downtown streets and onto a dedicated tunnel connection, the project dramatically improved traffic flow, safety and urban livability. As Florida’s first transportation project funded through a public-private partnership (P3), the tunnel set a new precedent for innovation in financing, design and delivery.

Delivering mission‑ready technology infrastructure to support national security

At Fort Belvoir, Virginia, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Campus East is a powerful example of building what matters: infrastructure that strengthens national security, fosters collaboration and leads in sustainability. Delivered in just 48 months by a Jacobs-led design team, the 2.4 million-square-foot headquarters consolidates five facilities into the largest federally operated LEED Gold-certified building of its time - streamlining operations and setting a new standard for resilient, future-ready government campuses.
