Digital Infrastructure

As demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing (HPC) accelerates, the infrastructure required to support these workloads must scale rapidly, operate reliably and adapt to evolving technologies. Hut 8, a North American energy and digital infrastructure platform, is developing next generation data center campuses designed specifically for the AI economy.

Jacobs is working with Hut 8 to deliver these developments through Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) and digital twin solutions, enabling speed to market, operational resilience and long term scalability across multiple AI data center campuses.

River Bend AI Data Center, Louisiana
Located along the Mississippi River, the River Bend Data Center Campus is planned as one of the largest AI and HPC developments in North America. Jacobs serves as EPCM lead for the campus, which is designed to scale beyond one gigawatt of utility capacity and anchor a multi building development.

The site benefits from robust regional utility infrastructure capable of supporting high density AI workloads. Jacobs’ EPCM role focuses on integrating complex power systems, coordinating supply chains and managing execution in a fast paced delivery environment.

By applying advanced manufacturing experience and disciplined construction management, Jacobs is reducing delivery risk while maintaining schedule certainty. Initial facilities are targeted for commissioning in 2027, with additional phases planned as the campus expands.

River Bend establishes a scalable, repeatable delivery model that supports Hut 8’s long term AI infrastructure growth.

Beacon Hill AI Data Center, Texas
Located in Nueces County, Texas, the Beacon Hill Data Center Campus is Hut 8’s second campus developed under its power first, greenfield development model. Jacobs is delivering full EPCM services for the project, which is designed to support up to one gigawatt of total capacity as future phases are developed.

Jacobs is applying proven design elements from the River Bend campus to the second project site and deploying its newly released data center digital twin to simulate critical assets, helping to de risk commissioning and reduce time to first revenue by accelerating the deployment of AI workloads.

Together with River Bend, Beacon Hill reinforces a standardized EPCM delivery model that integrates advanced engineering, disciplined execution and digital tools to support Hut 8’s expanding AI data center portfolio.

Designing infrastructure for the future of AI

AI and HPC continue to drive higher power densities, advanced cooling requirements and more complex grid interfaces. Across both Hut 8 campuses, Jacobs is designing infrastructure that can evolve alongside these demands.

Together, Jacobs and Hut 8 are delivering foundational infrastructure for the AI economy across North America. These projects establish cornerstone AI and HPC campuses in Louisiana and Texas, support one of the region’s largest planned AI data center developments and demonstrate a repeatable EPCM delivery framework that balances speed, scale and risk management.
