Strengthening Ireland’s water infrastructure for future resilience

Across Ireland, water and wastewater systems are under growing pressure from aging infrastructure and population growth alongside tightening environmental standards. Without continued investment, communities risk supply disruptions, reduced water quality and increased environmental impact. Uisce Éireann’s Engineering Design Services Framework is a key part of addressing these challenges — enabling the planning and delivery of critical upgrades and new infrastructure across the country. Through this framework, projects can move forward more efficiently, supporting improved service reliability, regulatory compliance and long-term resilience. The result is stronger, more adaptable water systems that can meet future demand while protecting communities and the environment.

Jacobs was appointed to the framework to provide multidisciplinary engineering design services across water and wastewater projects nationwide.
