Large-scale airport developments bring complex environmental, social and operational demands and need sustainability to be integrated from the outset. For this client, the challenge was to align environmental and social governance (ESG) priorities with health, safety, security and quality (HSSEQ) requirements while maintaining momentum across a major program. Without a unified framework, priorities can become fragmented and difficult to implement consistently. Establishing an integrated ESG and HSSEQ enabled the program to gain clear direction on what matters most and how to deliver it — and provided a stronger foundation for consistent decision-making and improved outcomes that deliver long-term value for both communities and the environment.
Jacobs worked with the client to define a comprehensive sustainability and assurance strategy that brings clarity, structure and momentum to this ambition. By identifying key priorities and aligning them across ESG and HSSEQ disciplines, we supported creation of a single, integrated framework to guide both current and future activities. Our approach has drawn on global best practices and deep aviation expertise to strengthen performance, improve transparency and support informed decision-making. The resulting strategy goes beyond sector requirements and positions the organization to lead — enabling long-term environmental, social and operational impact at scale.
