Tom Wilne

Tom Wilne supports collaboration across high-speed rail and metro infrastructure programs worldwide. He connects clients to Jacobs’ global expertise and experience to deliver complex transportation investments that support communities and long-term mobility goals. 

With more than 30 years of cross-sector experience spanning rail, aviation and energy, Tom most recently led the Jacobs delivery partner joint venture supporting one of the world's largest high-speed rail programs from 2022 to 2025. Today, he provides global leadership across Rail and Transit major programs, with a focus on high-speed rail and metro systems that connect communities and support long-term economic growth. 

Drawing on a background that combines engineering, operations and commercial leadership roles, Tom brings a collaborative approach to delivering complex programs, leading teams with a range of skills and experience. He is skilled at working across cultures, sectors and geographies, partnering with governments, clients and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. A strong advocate for transferable skills, Tom began his career in the offshore energy sector before transitioning into transportation and infrastructure, bringing valuable cross-sector perspectives to the challenges facing modern mobility networks. Tom is a chartered mechanical engineer and holds a master’s degree in executive management from the University of Manchester Business School.
