Steve Patterson

Steve Patterson brings more than 30 years of experience at Jacobs, specializing in the design-build delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines and supporting infrastructure. He leads major water projects across the United States, integrating design, preconstruction, permitting, construction and commissioning into a seamless, full lifecycle delivery model that drives successful outcomes. 

At Jacobs, Steve has served as an executive sponsor of the Midland Water Pollution Control Plant expansion in Texas and the Northern Treatment Plant in Colorado, guiding both from concept through construction and warranty. And as engineering director for the Agua Nueva Water Reclamation Facility, he led delivery of an award-winning facility completed ahead of schedule and under budget.  

Steve currently leads Jacobs' work in design-build, bringing together multidisciplinary teams and capabilities to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that accelerate delivery and reduce risk for clients. This integrated approach delivers water systems that meet today’s demands while preparing clients’ facilities for future challenges, such as climate impacts, regulatory complexity and aging infrastructure.
