Richard Merrett brings extensive expertise in delivering major infrastructure projects through strategic relationship building and technical excellence. He possesses a deep understanding of complex delivery models, including design and construct, alliance contracting and public-private partnerships across federal, state and private sectors.  

He focuses on strategic relationship building and technical excellence. Throughout his career, Richard has successfully led complex, multi-disciplinary designs for significant highway projects both locally and internationally. Richard has worked in Australia, Qatar, Hong Kong and the U.K. He’s passionate about fostering professional growth for the next generation of engineers and leaders and appreciates the value of building superior teams that are comprised of people with a range of skills and experience, centred on commitment and talent. 

His proven leadership includes coordinating the civil, mechanical, electrical and systems design certification as well as the complex operational readiness plans for multiple significant tunnel projects. By fostering collaboration and mutual trust, Richard consistently aligns stakeholder goals across all management and technical levels to achieve project delivery excellence.
