Paul Hargreaves

Paul has 25 years of experience working with clients to deliver more sustainable and resilient infrastructure across the U.K. and Europe. He began his career with a local authority, working on highways projects, town center enhancements, landfill remediation and recycling infrastructure before moving into the water industry and specializing in sustainable drainage systems planning, design and construction. 

Since joining Jacobs in 2004, Paul has become a leader in surface water management, supporting clients to deliver more resilient and sustainable approaches to water infrastructure. He now leads Jacobs’ Surface Water Management team across the U.K. and Europe and has co-authored national standards, policy, best practice guidance and industry thought leadership. Most recently, he co-authored British Water’s briefing paper, Manage Rainfall Where It Lands, following a roundtable discussion he chaired at the U.K. Parliament. Paul is passionate about advancing blue-green infrastructure and catchment-based approaches as standard practice across the industry.
