John Steele has more than 35 years of experience specializing in the design, contract documentation and construction of bridges and related structures. As a member of Jacobs’ Global Bridge Leadership Team for road and rail bridges, he works across regions to strengthen technical collaboration and support delivery of complex bridge programs. 

In this role, John connects lead bridge designers across APAC, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Middle East, bringing global expertise to major infrastructure projects and helping improve design, assessment and delivery practices. His work focuses on sharing knowledge, strengthening technical consistency and advancing innovative engineering approaches across the bridge practice. 

John also supports Jacobs’ Bridge Design Automation Group, helping drive initiatives that are transforming how bridges are designed and assessed. By combining technical leadership with innovation, he helps clients achieve more efficient, resilient and constructible bridge solutions.
