Dr. Aimee Flannery
Dr. Aimee Flannery is a global principal for transportation risk and resilience, leading the development of data-driven approaches that help agencies understand and manage risk across highway and transportation networks. She specializes in quantitative risk assessment, resilience planning and the integration of geospatial data to support more informed investment and asset management decisions.
Aimee has worked with transportation agencies across the United States to develop practical methods for assessing vulnerability to hazards such as flooding, erosion and extreme weather. She has contributed to national research and guidance through the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), helping shape industry approaches to risk and resilience assessment. Her work enables agencies to prioritize investments, strengthen infrastructure performance and accelerate recovery following disruptive events.
Prior to joining Jacobs, Aimee was a tenured professor of civil and environmental engineering, where she led research and teaching in transportation systems, operations and performance.
