Dan Laubenthal is Jacobs’ market lead, Transmission and Distribution, bringing a deep passion for meteorology, environmental science and energy infrastructure to his work. With experience at one of the U.S.’s largest investor‑owned utilities, he offers clients strategic guidance in siting, permitting and regulatory compliance for complex transmission and renewable energy projects. Known for his collaborative approach and industry network, Dan helps shape resilient energy systems that connect communities and strengthen the grid, while balancing environmental and stakeholder needs.

Away from work, Dan recharges by spending time with his family and enjoys snowboarding, fishing and serving as president of his neighborhood homeowners’ association — a role that draws on the same skills of listening, problem-solving and bringing people together he practices at Jacobs.
