Craig Clifton is Jacobs’ global principal for climate and wildfire resilience, bringing more than 40 years of consulting and research experience in climate change, natural hazards resilience and integrated natural resource management. With a master’s degree in forest science, he supports clients across water, energy, transportation, defense, mining, cities and advanced manufacturing markets. 

Craig specializes in climate and natural hazards risk assessment, adaptive planning and resilience strategy development. He has led vulnerability and risk assessments focused on climate change, wildfire and coastal hazards, helping clients understand both physical and transitional risks and identify practical mitigation and adaptation pathways. 

A strong advocate for systems thinking and adaptive planning, Craig works closely with technical teams, stakeholders and communities to facilitate informed decision-making under uncertainty. He also leads policy, program and project reviews related to climate change, environmental management and natural resource governance, helping organizations strengthen long-term resilience and strategic planning.
