Chris Sowerby is a capability lead for sustainable infrastructure at Jacobs and a chartered scientist with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations plan, design and deliver low-carbon, resilient infrastructure. He works across the full project lifecycle, supporting clients from early strategy and positioning through delivery and contract compliance. 

Chris is recognized for building high-performing teams and fostering collaboration across clients, partners and supply chains. His expertise spans strategic leadership, technical innovation, stakeholder engagement and sustainability integration, helping organizations embed sustainable practices into infrastructure delivery at scale. 

He also leads workshops, training programs and industry thought leadership initiatives, translating complex sustainability challenges into practical, actionable solutions. Through a combination of technical insight and collaborative leadership, Chris helps clients deliver infrastructure that creates measurable environmental, social and operational value.
