Alistair Hutson

Alistair Hutson is a Senior Associate and Design Manager at Jacobs with more than 20 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure across transportation, healthcare, commercial and advanced technology sectors. Having worked across South Africa, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates and Australia, he brings a strong global perspective to the design and delivery of technically demanding, high-performance facilities. 

At Jacobs, Alistair plays a key design leadership role on a landmark, utility-scale quantum computing facility. His work focuses on integrating highly specialized mechanical, electrical and structural systems to meet the stringent power, thermal and vibration requirements critical to next-generation computing environments. He is known for translating complex technical requirements into practical, buildable solutions that support reliable and efficient delivery. 

Alongside his project work, Alistair maintains a strong focus on emerging technologies, including formal study in quantum computing. This combination of technical depth and forward-looking insight enables him to help clients deliver innovative facilities that are both cutting-edge and operationally robust.
