Ryan Saunders
Ryan Saunders is a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in transportation decarbonization and zero-emission vehicle deployment, supporting public agencies, ports, transit operators and fleet owners transition to sustainable transportation solutions. His work spans operational planning, fleet electrification roadmaps, energy modelling, infrastructure sizing and layout planning, technology assessment and deployment strategy for transit, port, municipal and freight-related applications.
Prior to joining Jacobs, Ryan was a product development lead for a commercial electric vehicle manufacturer where he developed deep expertise in emerging technologies and built strong relationships with suppliers and customers to address the challenges of electric vehicle deployments. At Jacobs, he has supported the delivery of zero master plans and 100% infrastructure design for the Port of Long Beach and the Port of Cleveland — work that’s moved hundreds of vehicles and pieces of equipment toward zero-emission technologies while guiding clients through the technical, operational and infrastructure challenges of fleet decarbonization. Ryan’s focus is developing practical, data-driven solutions that cut emissions without sacrificing reliable, cost-effective operations.
