Mohsen Zadeh
As Power Lead for North America at Jacobs, Mohsen Zadeh helps clients navigate one of the most significant transformations in the history of the electricity sector. His work focuses on power transmission systems design, planning and grid interconnection, helping utilities and developers integrate renewable energy, AI data centers, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) infrastructure and emerging technologies into reliable, future-ready power systems.
Mohsen's more than 18 years supporting utilities, independent system operators and developers across North America, brings deep experience from dynamic system modeling to transmission planning and integration of gigawatt-scale infrastructure. He's led technical studies and engineering teams for utility-scale renewable generation, battery energy storage, HVDC interconnectors and large-load developments.
As a senior member of IEEE, Mohsen actively contributes to multiple IEEE technical working groups including IEEE 2800.2, wind/solar collector system design and Toronto chapter electrical insulation and dielectrics. He is also active with CIGRE as regular author and reviewer of conference papers as well as an officer of a working group on the development of grid forming converters for secure and reliable operation of future electricity systems.
Mohsen believes the next generation of power systems will depend on integrated planning and operation that brings together generation, transmission, large loads and advanced digital technologies to deliver resilient and adaptable infrastructure for the energy transition.
