Morne Pienaar

Morne Pienaar is a Design Director with Jacobs’ Cities and Places team in Dubai, bringing more than 25 years of experience across architecture, urban design and multidisciplinary leadership. A registered and award-winning architect, he is recognised for a design-led approach that integrates architecture, landscape, infrastructure and placemaking to deliver cohesive outcomes on complex projects. 

Creative direction and concept design are central to Morne’s practice, where he focuses on shaping early ideas and architectural vision to define the character and ambition of major developments across the Middle East and Africa. His work helps clients translate design intent into clear, compelling project narratives that guide delivery. 

Alongside his project work, Morne is committed to advancing emerging design workflows and fostering innovation in practice. He actively mentors the next generation of designers, supporting capability growth and strengthening design culture within Jacobs.
