Paul Corbett
Paul Corbett is a technical director for transport structures based in New Zealand, with 40 years of experience across all aspects of bridge engineering. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from conceptual and detailed design through procurement, construction support and delivery of major bridge crossings internationally.
Throughout his career, Paul has led structures teams on projects across the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Sweden, Qatar and Belize. His experience includes serving as designer’s site representative for the Penang Bridge Widening project in Malaysia, an 8-kilometer viaduct widening scheme that required close coordination between design and construction teams.
Paul also leads Jacobs’ Global Bridges Community of Practice, strengthening collaboration, knowledge sharing and technical connectivity across bridge teams worldwide. He combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder and delivery leadership, helping clients navigate a range of procurement environments and delivery methods to achieve practical, high-performing and constructible infrastructure outcomes.
