John Kinnear

John Kinnear is Director of Tunneling for Europe at Jacobs, leading the regional tunneling team while continuing to deliver major infrastructure projects. He has extensive experience across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development through detailed design and construction. 

John has played key roles on major programs including Crossrail and the Thames Tideway Tunnel, as well as projects across Europe, Canada and the Middle East. He has supported both contractor and owner teams, delivering new underground infrastructure and refurbishment of existing assets. He also brings experience as a technical witness on ground movement during public inquiries, helping clients navigate complex stakeholder and regulatory environments. His approach focuses on managing risk and ensuring constructible, high-performing solutions.
