Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded the role of Lead Trackwork Design Consultant for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line in Malaysia. The KVMRT project involves the construction of a rail-based public transport network comprised of three lines. The SSP Line, which is the second mass rapid transit line to be developed, has an estimated construction cost of approximately $7.6 billion.

The Wolfson council asked, “How can we pay for better, safer, more reliable roads in a way that is fair to road users and good for the economy and the environment?”

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a third term as a framework provider of professional consultancy services across highway, transportation and related scheme development with Lancashire County Council in the U.K. Lancashire’s role as Highway Authority is to plan, maintain and upgrade transport infrastructure, to make the county’s roads less congested and safer, while supporting local economic growth and easy access to employment.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been selected by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise to provide design services to widen over nine miles of the Sawgrass Expressway in South Florida, from six to ten lanes, incorporating two express lanes in each direction of traffic. Jacobs will also design the reconstruction and rehabilitation of three interchanges, a project with an estimated construction value of $125 million, according to Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise.
