Jacobs Drives Wastewater Decarbonization Through Breakthrough Biosolids Drying Technology
Anaerobically-digested municipal wastewater biosolids are more than two-thirds water, even after being dewatered. Biosolids also release methane, a potent greenhouse gas, during storage. In a successful trial with Welsh Water, Jacobs has demonstrated that the technology offers a low-cost way to dry anaerobically digested biosolids cake, reducing its mass significantly. Read more about the technology, and how it’s showing potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in this article.
