Jacobs Receives Contract for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Bay Division Regional Project

PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to provide construction management (CM) services for the Bay Division Regional Project in California.

The total installed cost of the construction project is valued at approximately $220 million with a CM contract value of $25 million.

The SFPUC supplies drinking water to 2.4 million customers in the four Bay Area counties of Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco. The project will construct approximately 16 miles of 60-inch and 72-inch pipeline, three separate crossover structures along existing Bay Division Pipelines 3 and 4, and upgrades to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Robert M. Clement stated, "We are pleased to again partner with SFPUC--this time for their Water System Improvement Program. The award draws on our broad capabilities in water delivery and is especially heartening since it comes on the heels of our recent win to provide CM services on the adjacent Bay Tunnel Project. It also builds our multi-year partnership with the SFPUC who is a major client for us in the San Francisco area. This is a critical project in helping SFPUC deliver on their commitment to provide reliable, high quality, and affordable water and we're proud to be a part of it."

Jacobs, with over 57,000 employees and revenues exceeding $11.0 billion, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
