Jacobs awarded contract from Los Angeles County Department of Public Works

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has received an award from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to provide project management/construction management and project controls support services for the design, renovation and construction of multiple facilities at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, Calif. The overall program budget is up to $400 million. The project, which comprises multiple buildings on a 51-acre site, includes the renovation and rehabilitation of an historic building; a new patient tower addition; two medical office buildings; demolition of multiple structures; and landscape/hardscape of over half of the site. Additionally, it includes design management and coordination with involved jurisdictions including the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development and the State Historic Preservation Office. The project is expected to be delivered using both job order contracting for make-ready work and design-build for the major building portions. Jacobs receives contract from Chesapeake bay bridge and tunnel commission

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Commission (CBBT) to serve as the design manager for a new tunnel along the 23-mile toll crossing at Thimble Shoals Channel between Virginia Beach, Va., and the Delmarva Peninsula. Company officials did not disclose the contract value. The new two-lane passageway, which is expected to parallel one of two existing immersed tunnels, provides additional capacity so that when incidents or repairs close one tunnel the other is available. In addition, the new tunnel allows for one direction of traffic per tube which better accommodates peak season traffic and makes the crossing safer for all travelers. Under the terms of the design management contract, Jacobs is completing project development, including the tunnel, associated bridges, and artificial islands, to support the District’s design-build procurement. Jacobs is also managing procurement and providing support to the CBBT in reviewing technical requirements of the design-build proposals and final award of the design-build contractor. Jacobs on joint venture team selected for Florida DOT’s i-4 ultimate project

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that its joint venture with HDR is part of the I-4 Mobility Partners team selected by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to deliver the I-4 Ultimate Project in Orange and Seminole Counties, Fla. I-4 Mobility Partners is comprised of Skanska Infrastructure Development and John Laing (Concessionaire), Skanska, Granite, Lane Construction Joint Venture, and HDR and Jacobs as the Design Joint venture. Under the terms of the contract, the HDR/Jacobs joint venture is delivering final design of the project, including roadway/traffic control, drainage, structures, intelligent traffic systems, signing and signalization, lighting, landscaping and aesthetics. The $2.32 billion I-4 Ultimate project includes the reconstruction of 21 miles of I-4; reconstructing 15 major interchanges, constructing more than 140 bridges, adding four variable priced toll express lanes in the median, and completely rebuilding the general use lanes along the entire corridor. The project is being procured by FDOT as a public-private partnership (PPP). (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was honored with three awards at the 2014 American Council of Engineering Companies ( ACEC) Engineering Excellence Awards Gala. Jacobs awarded contract from the Delaware Department of Transportation

Jacobs awarded seawall contract from Seattle DOT

PASADENA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sep. 17, 2013 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract from the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) for Construction Management Services on the Elliott Bay Seawall Project (EBSP) in Seattle, Wash. Officials estimate the construction value to be $300 million for Phase 1 of the project. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is managing the construction of approximately 3,700 feet of new seawall infrastructure in an urban waterfront area that supports public recreation, tourism and commerce. Jacobs’ scope of work includes oversight, inspection, monitoring, coordination and documentation of the project. The EBSP replaces the existing seawall with a structure that meets current safety and design standards by replacing deteriorated seawall structures that were constructed between 1916 and 1934. Phase 1 of the project, expected to begin in September 2013, replaces the most deteriorated sections of the central seawall. The City of Seattle is planning a second phase of work for the northern seawall as funding is available. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that the Yellow River Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) located in Gwinnett County, Ga. received the 2012 Best Civil Works/Infrastructure Award from Engineering News-Record (ENR). Jacobs receives subcontract for bridge design

Jacobs receives contract for San Francisco BART projects

Jacobs/CH2M Hill joint venture awarded additional contract from sound transit

(NYSE:JEC) announced today that its joint venture with CH2M HILL received a contract from Sound Transit of Seattle, Wash. for the Northgate Link Extension Project. The seven-year construction management contract has a value of $75.5 million. The Jacobs/CH2M HILL team is currently working together on Sound Transit's University Link (U-Link) Project, a light rail extension connecting downtown Seattle and the University of Washington to the north.
