Protecting the Thames Estuary: Modeling to provide a reliable evidence base to safeguard millions of residents and billions in assets

The Thames Estuary is home to 1.51 million people and more than £400 ($546) billion-worth of assets that are at risk from tidal flooding. To address this challenge, Jacobs and JBA Consulting are leading the Thames Estuary 2100 Modelling Project for the Environment Agency — a key pillar of the Thames Estuary 2100 strategy. Jacobs’ data center digital twin featured in NVIDIA GTC keynote

During NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote presentation at the company’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) on Monday, March 16, 2026, the founder and CEO highlighted Jacobs. The NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint and libraries now features a Jacobs Data Center Digital Twin solution that enables developers and owners to plan, simulate and optimize gigawatt-scale artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, known as AI factories, in a virtual environment – improving time to first revenue, efficient energy performance and resilient long-term operations.

Jacobs appointed program management consultant for long island rail road stations improvement project

Jacobs was selected by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) as the program management consultant for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station improvements project. Focused on keeping passengers safe and supporting MTA’s on-time service commitments, Jacobs will provide program management services, overseeing construction and commercial management, design compliance and risk identification.

Jacobs announced today the completion of the spin-off of its Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber & Intelligence government services businesses (the “Separated Business”) and merger with Amentum Parent Holdings LLC, forming an independent, publicly traded company called Amentum Holdings, Inc. From septic woes to success: Jacobs develops innovative wastewater solution for King County’s fall city

After 40 years of septic problems, Fall City’s business district is finally getting relief. A shared drain field, funded by almost $9 million from Washington State and Federal American Rescue Plan grants, will replace aging septic tanks. The system uses pre-treatment devices and pumps to treat wastewater, turning it into sub-surface irrigation for a nearby park. The project was so successful, the Fall City Waste Management System was awarded the King County 2023 Best-Run Government Innovation Award for Climate and Environmental Stewardship. Jacobs supports Pennsylvania department of transportation after I-95 collapse

On June 11th, 2023, a tanker truck hauling 8,000 gallons of gasoline crashed and caught fire at the intersection of I-95 and Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia. The ensuing blaze led to the collapse of an overpass on I-95, shutting down the vital eight-lane highway in both directions and ultimately snarling commutes and the movement of goods for the East Coast’s main north - south highway. Jacobs to support capital improvements at caribbean’s busiest aviation hub

Jacobs was chosen by the airport’s operator, Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC, to participate in a selected group, to provide architecture and engineering consulting services in support of capital improvements at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The capital improvement program addresses infrastructure improvements, increasing passenger and aircraft traffic demand, and mitigates future climate change impacts.
