From septic woes to success: Jacobs develops innovative wastewater solution for King County’s fall city

After 40 years of septic problems, Fall City’s business district is finally getting relief. A shared drain field, funded by almost $9 million from Washington State and Federal American Rescue Plan grants, will replace aging septic tanks. The system uses pre-treatment devices and pumps to treat wastewater, turning it into sub-surface irrigation for a nearby park. The project was so successful, the Fall City Waste Management System was awarded the King County 2023 Best-Run Government Innovation Award for Climate and Environmental Stewardship. Jacobs appointed program management consultant for long island rail road stations improvement project

Jacobs was selected by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) as the program management consultant for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station improvements project. Focused on keeping passengers safe and supporting MTA’s on-time service commitments, Jacobs will provide program management services, overseeing construction and commercial management, design compliance and risk identification.

Jacobs Solutions announces record date and distribution date for the spin-off of its Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber & Intelligence Government Services businesses

Jacobs (NYSE:J) announced today that its Board of Directors has set the close of business on September 23, 2024, as the record date for the spin-off distribution of its Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber & Intelligence government services businesses. The spin-off is part of Jacobs' previously announced plan to separate these businesses and merge them with Amentum in a Reverse Morris Trust transaction. The spin-off and merger are expected to be completed at 4:05 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. Eastern Time, respectively, on September 27, 2024, and will create a new publicly traded company listed on the NYSE named Amentum Holdings, Inc. ("Amentum").

Jacobs designs light rail extensions to better connect puget sound communities

Jacobs delivered final design, as a member of two joint venture partnerships, for two of Sound Transit’s new light rail line extensions, the 8.5-mile Lynnwood Link Extension and the Link 2 Line, a 6.5-mile segment of the East Link Extension that was recently named Engineering News-Record Northwest’s Award of Merit winner in the Airport/Transit category.
