Accelerating change on world water day

This year on March 22, we’re joining the U.N. and partners across the globe to celebrate World Water Day and raise awareness of the water and sanitation crisis that still affects millions of people worldwide. The theme of World Water Day this year is Accelerating Change and that really resonates with me and our whole water team at Jacobs because that’s what we do every day. We’re supporting our clients with critical projects and programs that improve water services in our very own communities. What makes this World Water Day even more significant is the launch of the U.N.’s Water Action Agenda. This collaborative agenda is being launched at the U.N. Water Conference this week in New York. It’s the first U.N. conference focused on water in 50 years and it represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us to collaborate on water solutions. We’re committed to Accelerating Change at Jacobs by amplifying our sustainability practices with PlanBeyond 2.0, in which we’ve aligned our activities with the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals. One of these is SDG6 – ensuring water and sanitation for all. Our target at Jacobs is to improve water equity in water-stressed regions by 2025 through new and existing partnerships. We’re proud to partner with groups like Water For People and the US Water Alliance that are working to improve water and sanitation access and promote equity in the water sector. At Jacobs, we recognize that all water has value. With a OneWater mindset, we look beyond traditional labels –
