Digital delivery is transforming how complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects are carried out from planning to operation. As asset owners and governments push for greater efficiency, transparency and long‑term asset intelligence, they’re increasingly focusing on the full spectrum of geospatial data, project information models and digital twins to create a digital metaverse — a unified, connected data-rich ecosystem that can support the design, construction, delivery and ongoing operation, maintenance and management of infrastructure assets throughout their lifecycle. 

Implementing a digital metaverse that truly supports a client’s operational goals remains challenging. Project teams must align a wide range of stakeholders, technologies and data sets to establish a single, reliable source of truth. When done successfully however, these emerging platforms and technologies democratize access to digital project information. Instead of relying on computer-aided design (CAD) drafters or BIM Modelers or BIM coordinators, team members can explore and assess the information through a far more intuitive and user-friendly interface.

A certified civil engineer with nearly three decades of experience across design, construction, project management and digital transformation, OhSung specializes in supporting organizations to define and execute their digital delivery strategy from the ground up. He develops roadmaps, designs tailored implementation strategies and approaches, and leads multidisciplinary teams through the deployment of platforms that strengthen collaboration, streamline interdisciplinary interfaces and produce richer, more reliable project and asset data. 

He's familiar with and has used hundreds of digital tools throughout his career, ranging from BIM and engineering tools and software to database and collaboration platforms, empowering organizations to transition from graphics‑based digitalization to full data‑driven engineering, construction and operation. 

One of his flagship projects is Singapore’s Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP), a one‑of‑a‑kind, multidisciplinary program where he led the implementation of 6D BIM and a cloud‑based digital delivery platform across 20 major work packages. This ambitious transformation has become an industry benchmark and led to collaboration with industry bodies to standardize digital delivery practices in Singapore. 

Now, as Global Principal and Digital Delivery Lead in Asia, OhSung helps clients solve complex project and program challenges by leveraging technologies that enhance coordination, accelerate schedules, integrate cost and schedule data and prepare owner‑operators for long‑term digital asset management. 

OhSung’s passion for digital twins was sparked in 1993 after watching the movie “Jurassic Park” on his first date with his wife. A scene depicting a young girl navigating and controlling a complex park management system using 3D graphics inspired him to pursue a career dedicated to creating and managing such technologies in the construction industry.
