Jacobs was appointed by Pulau Indah Power Plant Sdn Bhd (PIPP) to deliver owner's engineer services for the development of a 1,200 megawatt (MW) Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) situated on Pulau Indah in Klang, Malaysia.

Jacobs and PA Consulting, a leading innovation and transformation consulting firm, announced today that they will form a strategic partnership in which Jacobs will acquire a 65% stake in PA. The investment places an enterprise value of PA at £1.825 billion ($2.4 billion). The remaining 35% stake will be held by PA employees, following the exit of existing majority stakeholder, The Carlyle Group.

Jacobs welcomes former Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) and recently retired Army Lieutenant General Bruce T. Crawford to the company's Critical Mission Solutions (CMS) line of business as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development. Crawford will provide strategic leadership, vision and focus to support growth and continued development and deployment of innovative solutions across an ever-expanding client base within CMS.

Jacobs announces it has acquired The Buffalo Group, a leader in advanced cyber and intelligence solutions, further strengthening Jacobs' leading portfolio of national priority mission-focused, government solutions in the cyber domain and the Intelligence Community (IC). The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
