What excites you most about your role?

I’m truly excited to be part of one of Saudi Arabia’s flagship airport development programs and a key pillar of Vision 2030. It will become a premier global gateway, welcoming millions of visitors. For me, this project is a rare opportunity to shape aviation on a global scale, collaborate with world-class teams and bring best practices into a uniquely Saudi context.

What sparked your interest in becoming an engineer — and more specifically, in aviation?

From an early age, I was fascinated by how complex systems are designed to serve millions and I see engineering as the foundation for building the world. Aviation captured my passion when I realized that an airport is like constructing a small, fully integrated city — a sustainable investment hub where diverse expertise comes together to achieve the highest quality. This inspired me to specialize in aviation infrastructure, contributing to Airports projects that connect cultures, drive economies and strengthen a nation’s global presence.

How has Jacobs’ graduate development program supported your early career journey?

The Jacobs graduate development program has greatly supported my engineering career by providing dedicated supervision and ongoing mentorship. Regular oversight, combined with monthly sessions and specialized professional development courses, has strengthened both my technical expertise and industry knowledge. This structured approach has accelerated my growth, enabling me to apply best practices confidently and contribute effectively to complex infrastructure projects.

What has been your biggest learning moment or challenge so far?

My biggest learning moment came from working on complex airport projects, where precision and quality requirements are exceptionally high. Expanding an operational airport presented the challenge of balancing progress with minimal disruption. These experiences sharpened my adaptability, technical design and teamwork skills in demanding, high-stakes environments.

How does it feel to be part of a project that will shape the future of aviation in Saudi Arabia?

Being part of the aviation team is a rare opportunity to begin my engineering journey on a project of global impact. It feels inspiring to contribute to an industry that will redefine aviation in Saudi Arabia, combining knowledge, collaboration and vision to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

What advice would you give to other young Saudis considering a similar career path?

Mega projects aren’t just engineering challenges — they’re powerful career builders that offer unmatched exposure, experience and long-term growth. Opportunities rarely come uninvited; you must actively seek them, prove your value and seize them when they appear. My advice: be proactive, stay prepared and remember — opportunities are never waiting, they are seized.

“Being part of aviation’s journey is more than engineering — it’s building opportunities that connect the world and inspire generations through a world-class hub of innovation.”
