CH2M HILL Secures General Contractor License in China

DENVER,28 February, 2006 — CH2M HILL today announced that it has been issued a general contractor's license by the Shanghai Ministry of Construction in China. This enables CH2M HILL to provide consulting, engineering, project management, construction management, and fully integrated engineering, procurement, and construction services.

The license also positions CH2M HILL for future general building and public works facilities in China.

"This will position CH2M HILL to serve its many multi-national clients' expansion plans in the industrial marketplace to fulfill Chinese demand," said David Rosamond, Vice President, CH2M HILL. These include consumer products, automotive, food & beverages, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, communications, energy and other specific Chinese market needs.

As a world-recognized leader in the transportation and water markets, CH2M HILL will be positioned to offer the Chinese government engineering and construction services for its many infrastructure needs. These would include highways, bridges, tunnels, water supply, wastewater, liquid gas, municipal refuse treatment and gas supply.

In late 2002, the Chinese government issued two new decrees to be effective in 2004. By qualifying for these licenses, non-Chinese-based firms can legally perform work in China. Due to its unique position in securing this license in China, CH2M HILL has recently won major projects in automotive, metals, chemicals and heavy industrial equipment manufacturing.
