MAF Transition Team Recognized by NASA

PASADENA, Calif., June 29, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that, as part of the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) Transition Team, it received the NASA Group Achievement Award during a recent ceremony at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. NASA's MAF is a world-class facility that has been at the center of human space flight since the early 1960s.

The NASA Group Achievement Award is given for an outstanding accomplishment through the coordination of many individual efforts that have contributed substantially to the NASA mission.

Jacobs was awarded the manufacturing support and facility operations contract (MSFOC) in May 2009, and also provides program management; safety, health and emergency management; integrated manufacturing support; maintenance; site services; site operations; logistics operations services; sustaining engineering; environmental services; and construction and IDIQ services to NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility. Jacobs serves as the prime contractor for the project and worked with the outgoing MSFOC contractor and NASA over a 60-day period to make the transition a smooth one.

July 1, 2010 marks the completion of the first year for Jacobs at MAF. In making the announcement, Jacobs President and CEO Craig Martin stated, "We are proud to support the U.S. space program and NASA's transformation of MAF into a multi-program, multi-tenant facility."
