PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was selected as a key partner under the United Kingdom’s National Ecological Services Framework (EcoSF2), to provide specialist ecological services to support the UK Environment Agency’s technical and monitoring responsibilities.
Company officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted the framework is effective immediately and runs for an initial period of two years, with the option to extend the contract for two additional 12-month periods.
Under the terms of the framework, Jacobs has the opportunity to bid for projects focused on macroinvertebrates, macrophytes, fish, geomorphology and habitat enhancement. The scope of work Jacobs is providing includes freshwater ecology and geomorphology services, plus occasional transitional and coastal ecology services as required.
