Jacobs Receives Structural and Civil Engineering Design Contract at Robert Gordon University in the UK

PASADENA, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract to provide structural and civil engineering design for the expansion of the Robert Gordon University's Garthdee campus near Aberdeen, Scotland. The project will involve construction of new facilities for the schools of art, architecture, social sciences, and pharmacy as well as a learning resource center, technology campus and an extension to the business school.

The project has a value in excess of 100 million pounds (approx. US$160 million).

The university has two campus sites - one in the city center, the other at Garthdee. The Garthdee site steeply slopes and is set in woodland on the banks of the River Dee. The new facilities will complement the campus' existing buildings with their innovative design and style, and provide an educational as well as recreational environment in a park-like setting.
